Scrap the Azure Card – protest this Thursday

Leicester Civil Rights Movement have called a protest outside Sainsburys on Humberstone Gate, Leicester this Thursday (28th May), 6.30pm calling for the Azure Card scheme to be scrapped.

Asylum seekers have to use the card to buy essential goods. They can only shop at certain outlets. The card stigmatises those at the bottom of society. These people want to work, not be humiliated.

The Red Cross has produced a damning report on the Azure Card Scheme. You can also sign a petition against it online.
