“We are committed to fight for peace, equality, justice and socialism in Leicester. Join us”
Leicester SWP are holding a public meeting on Wednesday 20 May, 7pm at the Adult Education Centre – ‘Fighting Racism & Austerity – Where Next After The Elections?’.
Mainstream politics is broken. Millions of people are sick of austerity. Whichever party forms the next government will continue with cuts and privatisation.
But Britain isn’t broke. Far from it. The richest 1 ,000 people in Britain have seen their wealth double since the financial crisis in 2009, rising to £519 billion.
The Tories – and too often Labour as well – echo UKIP’s toxic lie that immigrants are to blame for cuts and falling living standards. The only result is the stoking up of racist division.
After the election, come and discuss how we can push forward the fight against austerity and racism – and how we can build a stronger socialist alternative to the failed policies of the mainstream.
