“We are committed to fight for peace, equality, justice and socialism in Leicester. Join us”
Following the successful launch in October, the People’s Assembly in Leicester want to make this Bonfire Night one which David Cameron will remember and remember for a long time!
The Peoples’ Assembly is calling for a day of protest in every town and city in the country and the actions will be many and various, ranging from occupations of public space to occupations of banks, from online petitioning to blocking roads, from leafleting with the rail unions against the privatized rail companies to student occupations.
In Leicester the action will be concentrated on 2 protests which we hope will literally stop traffic. One against the Privatisation of the NHS and the second against the hated Bedroom Tax.
We are asking for people to meet up outside the Hugh Aston Building at De Montfort University at 4.30 on November 5th bringing placards and banners.
Leicestershire Anti Bedroom Tax Federation will also be holding am Anti Eviction Army 'dry run' – meet at the Brite Centre at 11am.
